BRAIN THINKING MODELS AND DRAWINGS BY JAN FABRE

21.02.2026 – 12.04.2026

Mucciaccia Gallery presents at its Cortina d’Ampezzo venue the solo exhibition “BRAIN THINKING MODELS AND DRAWINGS BY JAN FABRE”.

Through 25 works (11 drawings and 14 sculptures), the exhibition explores the core of the creative process of Belgian artist Jan Fabre, placing drawing at the center as a primary tool for
thought, experimentation, and knowledge.

In his works, Fabre investigates the boundary between rational control and instinctive drive, between discipline and metamorphosis, between body and mind. His poetics are grounded in a constant tension between order and chaos, precision and excess, within a vision of art that becomes a form of knowledge, closely aligned with scientific research.

The exhibition thus offers an immersion into Jan Fabre’s universe, where the artwork is not merely a final outcome but a process, an inquiry, and a risk: an act of knowledge that passes through the body, matter, and imagination.
