In the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille the ancient and contemporary meet each other in the temporary exhibition space.

The museum will present a hundred of the most remarkable manuscripts and illuminated pages, created between the XIIth and XVIIth century. They will be accompanied by art objects of the Middle Ages and Renaissance (religious and secular jewelry and timepieces) as well as bronze sculptures by Jan Fabre from the series Chalcosoma (2006 – 2012). The atmosphere you delve in is illuminated by the gilt of the illuminations and the bronze of the sculptures.
